In this episode of Wild Growth for WomenâŠ
Bridget Brooks opens the door to a conversation most women in leadership feel but rarely name. This episode isnât about drama â itâs about discernment, emotional intelligence, and the clarity that comes when silence becomes your strategy instead of your surrender.
Bridget shares the raw, unfiltered truth of what happens when people who claim one thing publicly begin behaving very differently behind closed doors: the coach who âchampionsâ your success while poaching your clients⊠the mentor who preaches sisterhood while quietly telling others not to support your events⊠the friend who takes one miscommunication and tries to burn down everything youâve built because they lost access or control.n
This is a full-circle moment of power, clarity, and reclamation. Youâll hear Bridgetâs journey from shrinking to self-protect, to standing fully in her integrity, to redefining who gets access to her energy, her mission, and her momentum.
If youâve ever been betrayed, blindsided, sabotaged, copied, manipulated, or misunderstood â this episode is your reminder:
The right people communicate.
The right people stay.
The right people support without conditions.
And the right people donât weaponize miscommunication â they work through it.
The wild ripple starts with one choice: only align with the women who build, who stand, who donât need your spotlight⊠women who want your success, not your stage.
From here on out, Bridget is showing up differently â intentionally â with people who stand for the WIILD ripple, not the performance.

This is wild growth for women.
âWelcome, wild souls. Today I wanna talk about something every woman in leadership eventually faces, but nobody wants to say out loud. This episode is not about drama, it's about discernment. It's about what you learn when people who say what they stand for suddenly don't. And what happens when you stop reacting and start watching.
Once I got still and silent, the truth revealed itself in a way I never imagined. There's a special kind of betrayal that comes when someone you trusted or paid, or someone you believed in, pitches your clients. The moment your back is turned, not from inspiration, not from collaboration, but from competition, disguised as support.
The coach who tells you, I'm here to help you grow while planting seeds with your client's ears that they are the real expert. The mentor who preaches empowerment and sisterhood and then goes behind closed doors and tells her community not to attend your events. The mismatch in their public applause and their private intentions, that gut punch, nobody teaches you how to navigate.
Then there's another kind of person I've met the one who takes a single miscommunication, a moment where your wires cross and vows to undo everything you've built. You know who I'm talking about? The person you once called a friend, but the minute they didn't get their way, they threatened your reputation, relationships, and your name.
That person goes from, I've got your back to, I'll make sure everyone knows who you really are over something that could have been solved with a honest conversation. The ones who can't regulate their emotions, so they try to regulate your success. The ones who try to burn the whole house down because they can't, or they lost access to one room.
But here's what I learned. Anyone who can flip that fast was never stable to begin with. Anyone who can threaten to destroy what you've created never helped you build it. There was a moment when I had a choice, react or observe, and I chose silence. Not because I'm weak, but because I didn't want to get dragged into someone else's chaos.
Silence is powerful. It reveals character. It exposes intentions. When you stop talking and start listening, people start showing. I watch who acted out of alignment. I watched who was here for the borrowed audience who disappeared when things got hard. Who talked the big game but couldn't handle real connection.
I watched who tried to weaponize misunderstandings instead of working through them, and who tried to sabotage not support, I watched who stayed steady. Leaned in. Asked questions instead of making accusations and showed up with loyalty not entitlement.
My silence was not a retreat, it was a revelation. Once I saw the truth, the room shifted. It got smaller, and that was a blessing because the who remained. The ones who stood with me even when it wasn't convenient or comfortable, those are the women who stand for the mission, not the clout, not for access, not the spotlight, the effect, the ripple effect for the mission, the impact, and the long game.
Those are the women who don't crumble over miscommunication. They communicate. They don't threaten to tear down the build and they don't poach, copy, undermine or manipulate. They contribute, those are the women I chose to show up with. From that point forward, something shifted in me.
It became clear about who gets proximity to my vision. I no longer make space for people who can't handle discomfort without creating a war. I no longer offer access to people who want my results, but not my integrity. I no longer stand beside anyone who uses community as a costume, and I no longer shrink to make insecure people feel safer.
I show up with people who match their words with actions. People who understand that community is built in the dark, not performed in the light. People who won't abandon you over miscommunication or sabotage you over ego. I show up with leaders, not liabilities, with women who wanna rise together, not trade on each other's momentum.
With humans who understand that the ripple effect is something you embody. If someone's willing to portray you for an opportunity, let them. If someone's willing to sabotage you for a misunderstanding, let them go. And if someone reveals who they were only loyal by it, benefiting them, believe them.
And if someone shows you that their fear of your growth is louder than their respect for your friendship, honor that reveal the right people don't crumble when communication gets messy. They don't panic when boundaries get set. They don't plot retaliation when you grow, and they don't unravel your reputation because they lost control.
The right people stay. The right people communicate. Support without conditions. And the right people don't just talk community, they practice it.
The ripple starts with one choice. Choose people who build. Choose people who stand. Choose people who don't need the spotlight choose people who won't weaponize, misunderstanding, choose people who want your success, not your stage. Most importantly, choose to show up for you with the same loyalty, honesty, and integrity that you've been giving to everyone else.
Because once you see who's really with you, the entire way, you show up changes. And for me, and here on out, I'm showing up differently intentionally with people who stand. For the wild ripple, not the performance.
